Reduced Opening for Frodsham Recycling Centre

Following consultation in 2016, Cheshire West and Chester Council is making changes to Household Waste Recycling Centres across the area, that will result in reduced opening days and hours for the Frodsham site.

The changes have been introduced to save money yet avoid closing any sites.

Frodsham has been classified a secondary site and, from 1 April will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The daily opening hours are shown below – the times in orange will apply through the summer. The green boxes show the winter (October-March) opening hours.

Remember to arrive at least 10 minutes before the site closes to give yourself enough time to unload your recycling and waste.

Cheshire West & Chester Council is introducing a number of other changes from 1 April – particularly to ensure that its recycling sites are used only by borough residents to dispose of their household waste. It is illegal for any businesses to use the facilities.

Remember – the changes start on 1 April – before then you will have an information leaflet delivered to your home. You can download a copy of the leaflet from the bottom of this page.
