IGas Energy Community Fund is now inviting applications for grants that will be awarded in April 2018. The closing date for entries is 28 February 2018.
Launched in 2008, the fund has to date awarded close to £1 million worth of grants to help communities in the specific areas where the company operates.
The whole of Frodsham falls within a five mile radius of iGas’s Ince Marshes site and so local projects are likely to be eligible to apply.
The fund’s website www.igascommunityfund.co.uk describes the types of the types of projects that the Fund favours, together with guidance, application forms and contact details.
The timetable is as follows:
- Immediate: potential applicants should register by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a project summary then complete a full online application form if invited to do so
- 28 February 2018: deadline for full applications to be received
- April 2018:: grants panel meets
- May 2018: grants available
For 2018, the Fund welcomes applications for funding from £500 up to a maximum of £5,000. It is looking for projects that an award of this nature can ‘make happen’.
