New Chair, Deputy Mayor & Waterside Ward Councillor

It was all change at last night’s full Council meeting:

  • Chairman & Deputy Mayor, Councillor Mike Pusey officially resigned due to an increased workload from his major new business commitment.
  • Cllr Judith Critchley was elected as the new Town Council Chair from the next Council meeting, to serve until the AGM in May 2016.
  • Cllr Mallie Poulton was elected as Deputy Mayor and will become Mayor in May 2016.  Cllr Poulton stated “I am deeply honoured and humbled that my colleagues at Frodsham Town Council have entrusted me with this role.  I can assure the people of Frodsham that I will do my best to promote Frodsham Town in its entirety.  My consort for the year will be Mrs Jean Johnson, President of the Stroke Association of Frodsham.”
  • Three ladies stood for co-option for Waterside Ward and Laura Watts was successfully co-opted onto the Council.
