Busy two days for the Mayor

On Sunday the Mayor and his consort Mrs Marjorie Rigby had a busy day, helping to promote a local charity and a national one. On Monday they hosted a visit from the vice chair of Kingsley Parish Council.

Firstly, a visit to Spirit of the Herd pony sanctuary, looking after ponies and horses in need. It was a family fun day and the sun shone. The Mayor agreed to sponsor a pony for a year.

The next stop was at Travel Lab in Church St to start the memory walk for the Alzheimer’s Society.

This event organised by Councillor Poulton’s dear friend Clare Collins-Doyle. She got a group of friends and her boss at Travel Lab to help raise funds. After the walk, they all met the mayor back at Kash 22 were further monies were raised.

Monday saw the Mayor, his consort Mrs Marjorie Rigby and Frodsham Town Council Chair Cllr Judith Critchley entertain the vice chair of Kingsley Parish Council for morning coffee and cake. Special thanks go to Marjorie for the cake – homemade is so much nicer!

There was a lot to talk about and it’s hoped to have closer ties in the future. Frodsham sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery to the Chair of Kingsley PC, and were pleased to receive a donation for the Mayor’s charity fund. The Mayor sent his grateful thanks to Kingsley PC.
