Cheshire West and Chester Council has granted temporary licences (TENs) for the Tribute on the Hill music event in Frodsham on Saturday 29 July 2017. There is likely to be up to 1,000 people at the event.

Under the Licensing Act 2003 the only people that are consulted on a TEN are the Police and Environmental Health.
The event is taking place in two fields off Manley Road, Frodsham (Mile Straight) on 29 July 2017 and the licensable activities that are permitted by the TENs are:
- Field 1 – Regulated Entertainment (live music amplified and non-amplified and recorded music).
- Field 2 is the Sale by Retail of Alcohol.
- Both these are permitted to have up to 499 people at any one time including the performers.
- For the sale of alcohol is “the sale” of 499 at any one time.
