Hard graft in the sunshine

Members of Environment Committee worked with the Council’s Facilities Manager this morning on Ship Street Community Garden.

Councillor Fran Sutton says:

As this was my bright idea I feel it necessary to thank enormously, Paul, Alan and Tom who worked so hard for 4 or 5 hours this morning in blazing sun and managed to remove all the fence panels, deliver them to the Pony Sanctuary and dig out nearly all the concrete posts – none of which was easy.  There is still a lot to do but we are now well on the way to it being ready for planting up in the autumn.

Great team work, sweat and graft, but we did manage a laugh or two.
