Councillor Mallie Poulton writes:
“Frodsham is one of Cheshire West & Chester’s most inclusive councils and it was well represented at Chester Pride on the festival’s 5th birthday at the weekend.
“I was honoured to escort the Lord Mayor of Chester, herself an Equalities Champion.
“Council Chair Cllr Judith Critchley and her sister Cllr Donna Critchley represented the both town’s LGBT group Proud Bees and the junior group, and were proud to represent our town. Also flying the flag was our CWAC Cllr Lynn Riley and town Cllr Liam Jones walking with the Tory Group.
“This was the largest Pride Chester has seen with over 10.000 people attending. It great that we can attend and support these events. Yes, there’s a party atmosphere but we must remember we are still fighting bigotry and hate all over the world.”
