Lunch with the Queen

Frodsham Town Council Chair Cllr Alan Oulton writes:

I had the honour of representing Frodsham and Frodsham Town Council at the Civic Lunch in Chester yesterday, attended by HM the Queen and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Our Mayor and Deputy Mayor were unable to attend due to other commitments, so as Chair I stepped in.

I was fortunate in being seated not too far from HM and the Duchess. It was an amazing experience that I will cherish forever.

A little footnote: Fin, my youngest Grandson got slightly confused and informed his class and teacher that “the Queen is coming to my Grandad’s house for dinner”.
