Mr John Miller RIP

Frodsham Mayor Cllr Lord Frank Pennington sends condolences on behalf of Frodsham Town Council to the family of Mr John Miller who passed way aged 105 years on 1st June 2018.

Mr Miller served in the Fire Service. During World War 2 he served in the National Fire Service, working as part of a Fire Column which fought the aftermath of the mass bombings in Liverpool.

After the war he served at Frodsham and Runcorn, attaining the rank of Sub Officer.

Frodsham Town Council Chair Cllr Alan Oulton, himself a former member of the Fire Service, said:

On the occasion of Mr Miller’s 100th birthday local TV attended an event for him at Frodsham Fire Station. I had the honour of listening to his stories about his service.

RIP. Stand down Sub Officer. Duty done.
