New Exhibitions at Arts Centre – 18 September until 1 November 2018

Castle Park Arts Centre has new exhibitions showing from 18 September to 1 November 2018. Everyone is welcome to come and meet the artists on Friday 21 September and visit all the exhibitions between 7 – 9 pm.

In Gallery 1 is a group exhibition – the Wednesday Painters. Their `Passion for Painting` exhibition incorporates subjects the members have worked on over the past two years expressing and presenting their love of painting by exploring new ideas and techniques.

Maurice Greenwood presents ‘Lasting Impressions in Watercolour and Oil ‘in Gallery 2. An Academician of the Royal Cambrian Academy since 1988, Maurice finds inspirational beauty in the effects of light on the landscape, especially on rooftops and roads following rain showers.

In Gallery 3 we have ‘A Sense of Place’ by Clipped in , a group of artists who are also mountaineers. A Sense of Place will mean different things to different people and this is reflected in the varying approaches each artist has used. The exhibition includes drawing, painting, prints, ceramics, textiles, mixed media pieces and photograph.

In the Link a group of textile artists based in Marbury Park Northwich are presenting – ‘Drawn from the Park’. The works shown are all textile pieces made in response to the environment of Marbury and Anderton Country Park.

And in the café area the World War 1 Commemoration Working Group invites you to view the last display of the Poppy Cascade. Also on show will be documents, photographs and artefacts of persons and events relating to World War 1 and glimpses of the work of the group.
