Frodsham Remembers

Deputy Mayor and Overton & Five Crosses Councillor Caroline Ashton was delighted to visit Hillcrest Residential Home to help celebrate the centenary of the end of World War 1.

The World War 1 Commemorative Group arranged short musical performances for residential homes in Frodsham to celebrate the centenary of the end of World War 1. The performances by Frodsham and District Choral Society were followed by the presentation of a celebratory cake at each venue.

On Thursday 11th July Deputy Mayor Cllr Caroline Ashton attended the performance at Hillcrest Residential Care Home, Manley Road.

After the performance the cake was presented by Cllr Ashton, assisted by Hillcrest’s events co-ordinator Heather Wallace, to Mrs Nora Galley on behalf of all the residents in the home.
