At a recent meeting Frodsham Town Council agreed to undertake a community consultation exercise in relation to the current vacant land at Ship Street and its future redevelopment.
The Town Council has also discussed next steps regarding the future of the nearby Meadow Court site. The site is owned by Weaver Vale Housing Trust and is due to be closed in August, with Weaver Vale putting plans in place to make the site safe.
The council is keen to explore the viability of a strategic ‘land swap’ that would see the future use of both sites reviewed with a view to providing a community facility and green space in addition to new affordable homes.
