Gus Glynn’s new one man show, Routes to Classics, traces the development of the music we love today from its roots in traditional folk and blues to contemporary classics and all-time favourites.

Castle Park Arts Centre has exciting new exhibitions showing from 30 June until 7 August 2021.

In Gallery 1 ‘Our Shifting Landscape’ An Exhibition of paintings, textiles, and mixed-media work by local artists Sue Marsden and Sophie Parr, inspired by the landscape.

In Gallery 2 is ‘Drawing Aside the Journey’ An Exhibition of Art Works by David Atherton Using a broad range of media – from pencil to paint and printmaking to mixed-media – this unique show encompasses twenty years of ‘everyday life’ to show things that have impressed, inspired or fascinated the artist.

Natural Progression’s exhibition ‘Ragtime’ is in Gallery 3 is based on the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods and covers all aspects of these two very contrasting lifestyles.

Sandra Hepworth is in the Link Gallery with original textile art – embroidery and needle felting ,created with hand made ,dyed fabrics including silk, she mainly makes cityscapes in her quirky style

A Meet the Artists evening will be held on 2 July 2021, 7 – 9 pm in the courtyard with access to the exhibitions following social distancing guidance. All welcome

FREE entry 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday

The cafe is also open for refreshments and light lunches. There are musical interludes in the Courtyard at 11am.
