8 Barrowden Parish Council (Leicestershire) Proposal on Building & Developer Control – Sustainable Communities Act

Barrowden Parish Council in Leicestershire believes that there is a strong case for ending the complete division of responsibility between planning bodies and building control. It argues that there should be a requirement for building control bodies to ensure that development proceeds in general accordance with the approved plans and conditions.  To that end it will be submitting a proposal direct to Government over the early summer of 2018 asking for an end to this policy division.

To decide whether to complete a survey designed to gather supporting evidence from the local council sector to strengthen the Barrowden proposal when submitted to Government. The closing date for the survey is 5pm on 11 June 2018.
