Update on Reported Transaction Issue

Frodsham Town Council has been in contact with EG On The Move following reports from residents about issues with recent transactions.  The issue was originally reported to EG On The Move on 29th October 2025 as soon as Frodsham Town Council was made aware that there was an issue.

EG On The Move confirmed to Frodsham Town Council on 11th November, that the issue was resolved on 4th November 2025, and that Frodsham Town Council’s name and logo no longer appear on customers’ credit and debit card statements.

The company has advised that investigating the cause of the issue remains a top priority. They are continuing to work closely with their Merchant and the affected banks to determine exactly what happened.

EG On The Move has stated there is no evidence that the issue originated from EG On The Move’s systems, but investigations are still ongoing. Once these are complete, the company will provide a full explanation to affected customers and a further update to the Council.
