We’re writing to invite all tourism, leisure, and hospitality businesses in Cheshire and Warrington to a jobs fair on 4th February at Macclesfield Town Hall. Meet candidates who’ve just finished working at Lapland UK at Capesthorne Hall and are looking for their next role in tourism, leisure, hospitality or customer service.
This event is being delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), National Careers Service and Cheshire East Council, in partnership with Marketing Cheshire, and will be an excellent opportunity for your business to connect with quality candidates.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday 4 February 2026
- Employer Set-Up: 9:00am
- Jobseeker Hours: 10:00am – 3:00pm
- Location: Macclesfield Town Hall
Access Pre-Trained Candidates
The jobs fair will connect you with jobseekers who have completed customer service roles at Lapland UK at Capesthorne Hall, which concludes at Christmas. These individuals have received professional training and accreditation in hospitality-focused customer service, along with additional qualifications including food hygiene.
The event will also be open to other motivated jobseekers, providing you with a wide pool of candidates for your vacancies. There is no charge for your business to attend.
Game-Changing Support: “Help to Apply”
A major barrier to successful recruitment is that 90% of interested jobseekers fail to complete online applications for entry-level positions. To solve this problem, DWP and National Careers Service will provide their “Help to Apply” service at the event:
- On-the-spot application support: 1-2-1 sessions helping jobseekers complete applications during the fair
- Extended support: For more complex applications, jobseekers can be booked into job centres with advisors
- Interview preparation: Guidance on best practice to help candidates succeed
- Career development: Additional training and upskilling opportunities for candidates
This service dramatically increases your chances of converting interested candidates into completed applications and successful hires.
Why Attend?
- Meet motivated, pre-trained candidates face-to-face
- Fill seasonal and permanent customer service vacancies
- Reduce recruitment time and costs
- Benefit from professional support throughout the hiring process
- Strengthen the local tourism and hospitality workforce
