Budget and Precept Set for 2026–2027
Frodsham Town Council formally approved its budget and council tax precept for the 2026–2027 financial year at a Full Council meeting held on Monday 26 January 2026.
Following detailed consideration by all Council committees and a review of reserves and projected income, Councillors agreed to set the 2026–2027 precept at £300,309. This decision means there will be no increase in the Town Council’s element of council tax for the coming year.
As a result, the Band D council tax charge will remain unchanged at £79.88, the same level as in 2025–2026.
The approved budget reflects the Council’s continued commitment to prudent financial management while protecting residents from additional financial pressure. By making careful use of reserves, managing one-off expenditure, and maintaining stable day-to-day spending, the Council will continue to support local services, community events, facilities, and priority projects without increasing council tax.
Full details of the budget, reserves, and precept calculations are contained within the Budget and Precept Report for 2025/26 and 2026/27, which was presented to and approved by Council at the meeting.
