Frodsham Town Council invites applications for this year’s Grant Scheme and is encouraging community organisations or individuals to apply for projects which:
- promote social inclusion by building dialogue & understanding
- increase skills & activities to aid social inclusion
- enhance the social, cultural or economic well-being of Frodsham or
- achieve excellence in their chosen activities.
An application form and further details are available from the Council’s website or from the FTC Office at Castle Park House. The deadline for applications is Friday 23 October 2026
Examples of activities that can attract grants:
- Sports, recreational & play activity
- Performing arts (theatre, music, etc)
- Visual arts (painting, sculpture, etc)
- Media, film and video
- Museums
- Literature
- Architecture, landscape and parks
- Combined arts and festivals
- Sponsorship
- Cultural heritage
Exclusions
Applications will not be considered:
- for day-to-day running costs;
- retrospectively (where money has been already spent or committed);

Previous grant recipients
Last year, grants were awarded to:
- Helsby High School – Upgrading of lighting and sound equipment providing pupils and community groups with a more enhanced system
- Castle Park Arts Centre – Pottery classes for Carers to give them some time to focus on themselves for a couple of hours a week
- Frodsham & District History Society – To replace and update four incorrect plaques on the Blue Plaque Trail with accurate and appropriate information
- Frodsham Community Association – To Provide discounted tickets to enable those from disadvantaged backgrounds to access the annual Weaver Words Literature Festival
- Castle Park Print Club – Upgrading to a more reliable and efficient printing pres
- OPAL Services (Rural West Cheshire) – The purchase of new activity and exercise equipment to increase the number and variety of seated exercise sessions
- Frodsham Music & Arts Club – To support the continuation of affordable, high-quality cultural events for the local community despite increasing performance and venue costs
