Frodsham Remembers!

Frodsham Town Council’s Remembrance Service at the Frodsham War Memorial on Tuesday 11 November 2025 brought the community together in a moving act of reflection and gratitude. Led with dignity and warmth by Reverend Phil Atack, the service honoured the sacrifices of those who served and those who continue to serve.

A large and diverse gathering filled the area around the memorial, including residents of all ages, representatives from Cheshire Police, Frodsham Fire Service, members of the Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club, local schools, and numerous community organisations. Their presence reflected the town’s deep commitment to remembering its fallen and supporting its servicemen and women.

A particularly poignant moment came with the sounding of the Last Post and, later, the Reveille, both beautifully and confidently played by Rose, a Year 8 student from Helsby High School. Her performance added a heartfelt touch to a solemn and unifying ceremony.

The service stood as a powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance, as the people of Frodsham gathered in gratitude, respect, and hope for peace.

Frodsham Town Council wish to thank all who attended the event and also wish to mention the Reverend Elaine Atack for putting the service together and for conducting a service of Remembrance on Sunday 9th November at St Laurence Church, Church Road, Frodsham.
