In its role of Trustees of Registered Charities the Council manages three accounts on behalf of the Town.
Hob Hey Wood Charity (registered charity no. 1099786)
The charity was registered on 1st October 2003 with the objective of preserving and conserving the natural woodland areas of Hob Hey Wood for the quiet and peaceful benefit of the public. The charity administers most of this wood which lies in the Mersey Forest.
Overton Hill Memorial Field Charity (registered charity no. 1079745)
The Charity was registered on 8th March 2000 with the objective of preserving and conserving the plot of land donated by Harriet Elizabeth adn Emily Priscilla Wright to the Parish Council of Frodsham Lordship and the approach to it. The plot is part of the site of the Memorial in Memory of the Men of Frodsham who gave their lives in the First World War.
Recreation Grounds Charity (registered charity no. 504519)
The charity was registered on 22nd August 1975 with the objective of preserving and conserving pieces of land identified as recreation grounds for the benefit of the inhabitants of the ancient township of Frodsham and Frodsham Lordship. The trust covers Crowmere Lake and the Top Road Playground.
Each Trust is made up of all Town Councillors. Following advice from the Charity Commission the Trustees meetings became part of the Town Council meetings with effect from 23rd November 2009. Special meetings may be called when necessary.
