Electoral Canvassers Needed – October to November 2015

Earn between £200 to £1,000 before Christmas!

The electoral register is used to enable people to vote in both local and national elections. The Council has to carry out an annual check of all properties/households and produce an accurate and up to date Register of Electors each year.

We do this household check in stages. Firstly we post a form to all households in the Borough followed up with additional postal reminders when we do not get a response.

To back up our postal system, we need to recruit people to chase up all outstanding responses and obtain information by carrying out door step enquiries. You must be able to work in the evenings and at weekends although some work may be carried out during the day.

You need to be organised, trustworthy and able to meet deadlines. Training and ongoing support will be given. If you want to find out more, there will be an evening information session on Wednesday 9 September at 6pm. A further information session will be held on Monday 14 September at 12 noon.

Both sessions will be held in Room G1, HQ, Chester CH1 2NP

If you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to view one of the sessions remotely via the Council’s web site. Application forms and further information are available on the electoral canvass staff portal.

To access the portal go to westcheshirecanvass.co.uk

Applications need to be received by 21st September 2015.
