United Utilities (UU) will be carrying out a further two days’ work on Church Street to complete the project it started in November.
The work has been completed on Kydds Wint, but following this UU is required to bury an obsolete valve in ground in order to prevent it being accidentally used again in the future.
It is hoped the work will last no longer than two days, starting on Monday 1st February at approximately 9am, but it will require the installation of two-way traffic lights during the work.
The lights will be manned until 7pm at night to help ease any congestion.
A spokesperson for UU said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this final piece of work will cause and hope it doesn’t cause too much disruption.
We have spoken to shop owners in the vicinity to let them know of this work.”
