Today our Mayor, Cllr Mallie Poulton started his Meet & Greet sessions.
This to improve our civic profile, introduce people to parts of Frodsham, or visit the town of Frodsham if they have never visited. Showing off the best Frodsham has to offer, continuing the Mayors ongoing theme, that ‘Frodsham is a great place to live, work, rest, play and most of all visit’.
His first guest was Cllr Ged Philbin, the Mayor of Halton, who is the first citizen of 110,000 residents.
The Mayor was joined by Council Chair, Cllr Judith Critchley.
Cllr Poulton and Cllr Critchley showed the Mayor of Halton around Castle Park House and introduced him to the Town Clerk, Hazel Catt, Mayors Secretary and Office Manager Anne Scriven and our faithful receptionist Jackie Bowe.
After a long chat on many topical issues, the Mayor escorted Halton’s Mayor to a tour of Castle Park Arts Centre. They were warmly welcomed by the Chair of the trust and the Treasurer.
They visited an art class, the galleries and had a very enjoyable tour of the building in general.
Afterwards it was back to Castle Park House for an exchange of gifts. Cllr Philbin bid farewell and it was agreed that our Mayor would visit Halton soon.
