Frodsham will host its famous annual Festival of Walks between Saturday 22 April and Monday 1 May.
The 2017 Festival offers a programme of 24 walks with experienced leaders for all ages, and interests.
Old favourites include bird walks on Frodsham Marshes, a pub walk, buggy push, dog walks, a health walk and several full day rambles.
New this year are a photography walk, Nordic Walking taster sessions and a family orienteering challenge. Of special local interest is a walk in Castle Park to celebrate the bicentenary of garden designer Edward Kemp.
Saltscape, the Weaver Valley landscape partnership, is sponsoring a ‘First Steps to Navigation’ walk for those who wish to develop their map reading and basic compass skills.
