Register now for discount on Mersey Gateway Bridge

Register now in time for the opening of the new bridge this autumn.

Mersey Gateway Bridge, or ‘the new bridge’, opens soon, so if you cross the bridge between Runcorn and Widnes, make sure you beat the rush and register online today at www.merseyflow.co.uk.

You’ll have to pay a toll to cross the bridge, but it’s different to the tunnels – you won’t be able to slow down and put your money in the bucket – which will mean quicker, easier and more reliable journeys.

Merseyflow is the tolling brand – they’ll be using special stickers and number plate technology to tell who has crossed the bridge, so you either have to register in advance or get in touch with them to pay before midnight the day after you cross

If you are an eligible Halton resident and drive a car or a small van, you’ll be able to cross the bridge for free* once you register and pay the annual admin fee of £10.

If you live outside Halton, registering with merseyflow is the only way to get discounts on your journeys across the river, and there’s also different types of monthly passes.

Blue Badge holders can travel for free, but only if they register and pay a one-off £5 fee.

If you drive a car or small van, the unregistered toll rate is £2 per one-way trip, so to reduce costs, it’s well worth registering today at www.merseyflow.co.uk. And remember, if you don’t pay, you’ll get fined – so get registered before the new bridge opens.

How do we find out more?

There’s loads more information at www.merseyflow.co.uk and you can register online – it’s really easy.

There’s a call centre – call 01928 878 878 if you need to chat to them and a walk-in centre in Runcorn where you can register and pay.

*Free travel applies to personal journeys only – business trips must be paid for.
