Frodsham Lymphoma Support Group will be cycling to raise funds and awareness of Teenage Cancer Support (Clic Sargent) and Lymphoma Action at Morrisons Supermarket on Saturday 22 September, between 10am and 5pm.
On the day 27 riders will ride for 27 minutes on an exercise bike to encourage donations towards these to charities, but more importantly information to raise awareness of the remit of these two charities will be given out to all customers on the day.
Every 27 minutes someone in GB is diagnosed with Lymphoma hence the theme of 27. Every day a young person is diagnosed with lymphoma alone with total figures for other cancers raising this number significantly.
If anyone wishes to come along and ride for 27 minutes to support the event you need to sign up with Kevin Fairbanks of the Frodsham Lymphoma Support Group who can offer you a definite slot (half hourly) at your convenience or simply come down on the day. Joanne the community champion in store is coordinating the event and can be contacted at Morrisons for more about the Clic Sargent.
Frodsham Deputy Mayor Cllr Liam Jones will be one of the cyclists.
