Frodsham and District Choral Society have a treat lined up for local music-lovers.
They say:
We begin our journey with a celebration of the music of Bob Chilcott. We return to his wonderfully vibrant setting of “A Little Jazz Mass” and give the ladies an opportunity to “get in the swing” with his “Jazz Songs of Innocence”, brilliant settings of five of Blake’s poems. We welcome back a great favourite of the choir, Laurie Ashworth, who not only sang in the premiere of Chilcott’s requiem, but she has also recorded it. It was written in 2010 and features soprano and tenor soloists, so we are delighted to welcome Will Smith, a local tenor who is making a very successful career as a soloist.
