Help shape the way highways services are delivered

Cheshire West & Chester Council has launched a public consultation giving residents the opportunity to comment on key aspects of its Highways Service.

The Highways Service keeps the borough’s road network moving and is important to everyone, from residents and visitors to the emergency services and travel companies.

As the Council’s current highways contract is coming to an end, it wants your views to help it decide how to deliver the Highways Service in the future.

Financial pressures are increasing due to reduced Government funding, combined with competing demands for general road maintenance and new capital projects. This means it will need to be both prudent and innovative in its future approach.

With this in mind, Cheshire West & Chester Council wants to hear your views on:

  • Your experience of the current service
  • The areas you think should be prioritised in the future
  • The Council’s vision for the Highways Service
  • Key criteria for the new service.

The consultation will be open from 6 July to 30 August 2020.

To complete the survey or to find out other ways to make your views known, visit the consultation page on the Council’s website.
