Shaping future health and wellbeing services

Budget challenges and changes to the market mean that Cheshire West & Chester Council is looking at new ways of delivering services that have a strong focus on improving the borough’s health and wellbeing, whilst providing up to date and fit for purpose facilities.

They want to hear your views on their thinking about how these services could be delivered by Brio and what this would look like across west Cheshire.

The consultation document explains that Frodsham Leisure Centre is not fit for purpose and proposes that plans to provide a sustainable health, leisure, wellbeing and library service to the Frodsham/Helsby area would be developed maximising the use of community facilities and external funding opportunities.

Community-based activity sessions could be delivered in identified areas in Frodsham/Helsby using local facilities, green spaces and other options to provide activities at a more local level. This could include a fitness class being delivered in the community.

Please read the background information on the Cheshire West & Chester Council website and then share your thoughts by taking part in their survey.
