Consultation on Frodsham/Helsby pedestrian and cycling route

Have your say on proposals to improve the pedestrian and cycling route between Frodsham and Helsby.

Cheshire West & Chester Council has secured funding from the Government’s Active Travel Fund to build a number of cycling improvements identified and supported as priorities in the Council’s Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).

These include a proposal to improve links between Helsby and Frodsham. The Borough Council wants your views on these proposals.

The proposed footway/cycle improvements on the A56 Chester Road start to the west of Godscroft Lane with the introduction of a proposed pedestrian / cycle crossing (Toucan Crossing) and continues up to the Frodsham railway bridge.

More detailed information about the scheme and a map can be found on CW&C Council’s consultation page.

CW&C Council wants your views on these proposals to ensure that they can be considered and the designs refined.
