As you may know, construction of the new Protos Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is ongoing and we are keen to continue to develop links with the local community. We have already held a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event to engage with dozens of local suppliers and we are now in the process of setting up a Local Liaison Committee (LLC) to help us connect with local residents who live or work close to the Protos ERF site.
The committee will gather feedback and opinions from local residents and provide information to the community during the current construction and subsequent commissioning phases of the project. We plan to meet at least on a quarterly basis (although there may be occasional extra meetings when the need arises), with the aim of ensuring the project causes minimal impact and disruption to our neighbours.
We would like to invite representatives from across the local community to join the committee and would be grateful if you could forward this invitation letter to any contacts you have who may be interested in joining. We will be publicising the committee over the coming days and, if necessary, places will be limited to ensure that committee meetings are manageable and that a variety of areas/interests are included.
We are keen that all areas of interest are covered so we have enclosed a registration form which will help us identify any gaps in representation.
To reply, please email info@protoserf.com. The deadline for responses is Friday 29 July and the first meeting will take place shortly afterwards.
With kind regards
Coast Communications on behalf of the Protos ERF Project
