Key messages to share
- With freezing weather conditions in the area, United Utilities has shared advice if you’re experiencing no water, reduced pressure or need to identify whether you have frozen pipes. It’s always worth checking in on neighbours, friends or family members who might be vulnerable or living alone
- Don’t forget, there’s a section on the Council website dedicated to the cost of living, highlighting the range of support available to those who need it
- The Council’s libraries will be operating a revised service over the Christmas period
- There are several common infections that your child might pick up over the winter period. Symptoms of flu include: fever, stuffy nose, dry cough, aching muscles and joints
- Residents, businesses and charities are being asked to sign up to play their part in tackling rough sleeping and homelessness in a new initiative being launched by the Council
- The Council is progressing initiatives to improve bus services in the borough through its Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP)
- Chester’s first indoor cycle parking space will be opened by the Council in the new market parking, with the first 30 access cards available for free, normally costing £10 each
- The Council, in partnership with Neston Town Council, is trialling a new traffic calming scheme on a busy section of Neston Road in Ness following requests from local residents
