• Cheshire West & Chester Council is launching another funding round on the Cheshire West Crowd, providing plenty of opportunities for community projects to bring their ideas to life
• Chester’s Midsummer Watch Parade returns on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June, starting from Town Hall square at 2pm. The medieval parade is one of the country’s oldest and most colourful street parades dating from 1498
• Chester’s first Active Travel Festival will take place on Sunday 18 June at the Castle Square car park from 11am to 4pm
• Following the success of the Ellesmere Port Market Comic Con event in January, the free event returns on 24 June to the Flea Market area from 10am to 4pm

The Council wants to make sure that, when local people need care and support, they have as much choice and control themselves as they are able to
