CW&C Multiply Skills and Employment Grant Award Scheme

We have been asked to share the information below with you by Simon Dutton, Multiply Project Co-ordinator and Commissioning Officer at Cheshire West and Chester Council

The Multiply project is a government funded 3 year programme aimed at improving the numeracy levels of our residents. We have opened up a grant opportunity aimed at smaller organisations (such as food banks, community centres etc) for the delivery of a one off maths related session to their client base. An example could be a food bank running a budgeting session on feeding the family for a week etc. The only eligibility criteria for residents accessing this provision are that they must be aged 19 or over, not have a GCSE C or above in maths, and live within the Cheshire West & Chester boundaries. An organisation could receive a maximum of £2,250 (15 learner attendance forms x £150) of funding to deliver this activity.

Multiply is keen to promote this opportunity to organisations that we haven’t previously engaged with, so that we can ensure everyone has a fair chance of accessing this funding. The deadline for organisations to submit their application is Monday 9th October.  Please share this information and application form as appropriate across your local networks.
