Frodsham Town Council commemorated Remembrance Day on Saturday 11th November 2023 at 11am at the top of Memorial Hill in Frodsham. The service was led by Rev Elaine Atack of St Laurence Parish Church which culminated in the commemoration of the men and women who lost their lives in both World Wars with the laying of wreaths. Helsby High School provided two buglers to play The Last Post and The Reveille; former student Katie Fisher and Music for Life Peripatetic Teacher, Jackie Keating.
It was a beautiful sunny morning with over 70 people in attendance including an excellent turnout from a number of local schools from the surrounding areas and voluntary organisations in Frodsham: Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, Member of Parliament for Weaver Vale, Royal British Legion (Frodsham Branch), Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club, Towns Women’s Guild, Frodsham WI, Cheshire Policing (Frodsham Team), Cheshire Fire and Rescue, Mersey Weaver and Frodsham Scouting Group, Frodsham Girl Guides, and Frodsham Frombles. Refreshments were kindly provided after the service by the Forest Hills Hotel, Frodsham
