Frodsham Town Council runs a Winter Gritting Scheme each year providing de-icing grit to registered Community Volunteers willing to spread the grit on public pavements and footpaths near to where they live.
Volunteers who register on the scheme will get 1 to 2 bags of salt delivered to their home on a scheduled date up to four times during the winter (depending on the severity of the winter).
(volunteers do not need to be home when the delivery is made. The bags of grit will be delivered as close as possible to your property).
FTC must impress that the grit is ONLY to be used on public pavements and footpaths – it is NOT for use on volunteers own footpaths, drives, public roads or private housing developments.

If you would like to become a Community Volunteer Gritter in your area, please download and fill in the form below, stating clearly the area you are prepared to grit and return your completed form to council@frodsham.gov.uk
If returning your form by hand to our office in Castle Park House, just pop it in the mail box clearly marked ‘Frodsham Town Council’ which is located just inside the front porch to the right hand side.
