Saturday 26th April 2025 was the first anniversary of Frodsham’s popular Artisan Market. The Artisan Market has been a huge success for Frodsham and is now a key feature of events taking place every month.
This month’s event saw Frodsham Town Council hosting an Easter Egg Trail in the town. The trail showcased 13 of our independent shops and eateries, with those participating displaying an alphabet letter and number in store for children to find.
Children collected a specially commissioned map from the FTC stall at the market and set off to hunt down the letters which spelt out two Easter related words: ‘EASTER BUNNIES’. Once the trail had been completed, children rushed back to the FTC stall to claim their prize … a chocolate Easter egg!
300 Easter eggs were purchased by Frodsham Town Council and given away to those children participating in the trail which took them along Main Street, High Street and Church Street introducing them to our wonderful independent shops and eateries.
On the trail circuit were Peter Rabbit and Ariel ‘Disney Princess’ who were photo bombed by all those who saw them. There were lots of ‘selfies’ with beaming children clutching their Easter Egg prizes 🙂
A free children’s craft area on the market topped off the day, giving parents a chance to take a breather, have a bite to eat and drink whilst children were entertained by a variety of artists.
Given all the positive feedback we received, FTC think the Easter Egg trail, characters and craft area might be making a comeback next year!
