Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice 2025
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporary traffic restrictions will be in operation from Monday 22nd September until Thursday 25th September 2025, the effect of which will be to restrict traffic as detailed below on the roads in the Parish of Frodsham while the Cheshire Ploughing Match event takes place. The event to be carried out by the organiser.
The notice will come into force from 07:00 on Monday 22nd September until 18:00 on Thursday 25th September 2025 and will close the following roads as detailed below.
• Exit of Dig Lane onto Matty’s Lane.
The notice will also suspend no waiting, no loading/unloading and blue badge parking on the following lengths of roads.
•Matty’s Lane (from Dig Lane to Chester Road).
The notice will make the below roads one-way and will be in operation on Wednesday 24th September 2025 from 07:00 until 18:00.
•Hatley Lane one-way in a westbound direction from a point 200 metres west from Dig Lane to Godscroft Lane.
•Godscroft Lane one-way in a southbound direction from Hatley Lane to Chester Road.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the notice shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
The promoter of this event is Cheshire Ploughing and Hedge Cutting Society.
