AGENDA

1. Apologies and reasons for absence

To receive apologies and approve reasons for absence from members.

2. Declarations of interest

To note any declarations of interest on items which are on the agenda.

4. Public participation

Members of the public are invited to speak on items which are on the agenda in accordance with FTC policy on public speaking at meetings.

5. Frodsham Market Charter – auction process

(a)To note the report circulated by the Town Clerk regarding the auction process.

Market update – bidding

(b)To approve the recommendations contained within the report.

6. Exclusion of press and public

To consider that, in accordance with section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, and as extended by Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public, including the press, be excluded from the meeting because of the confidential and commercially sensitive nature of the following business to be transacted: item 7(a), item 7(b), item 7(c) item 7(d), item 7(e).

7. Frodsham Market

(a) To note the Confidential Guidance Note.

(b) To note the report from Cllr Wood and Town Clerk on the estimated operating costs of running a weekly market, whether managed in-house or by an appointed market operator.

(c) To consider whether to submit a bid at the public auction (up to the maximum previously agreed at the meeting held 10th November 2025) to be held on 26th November 2025.

(d) To agree that, if successful, the Council will undertake a public consultation on the future use and operation of the market.

(e) To agree that, if successful, the Town Clerk will issue a press release and a public notice to explain the Council’s decision and outline the next steps.
