Last night, the Mayor attended an evening with Simon Reeve at Castle Park House. The event was sponsored by local travel agents TravelLab and the international travel group Kuoni.
The Mayor said “Everyone present enjoyed a fabulous informative evening. Our local star in the kitchen, Julie Higgins, was in charge of the amazing canapes and drinks.”
The Mayor’s Consort for the day was Mrs Marjorie Rigby who, with the Mayor, had met TV presenter and travel writer Simon privately at the TravelLab shop on Church Street earlier in the day. TravelLab is a local independent trader.
