Deputy Mayor Cllr Frank Pennington last week had the happy task of opening a new footpath at Frodsham Community Centre.
Twelve Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service apprentices creating a new, safer disabled access path, as well as landscaping the garden, planting specimen shrubs, and installing a picnic table, bird boxes and a bench.
The project was a Prince’s Trust Community Project undertaken by the apprentices prior to commencing their service training. They designed, raised funding, sourced materials and carried out the site work all within a 12 day window, creating real benefit for the people of Frodsham.
The grand opening was held on the 20th October with a ribbon cutting by the Deputy Mayor followed by a presentation by the apprentices of the work they undertook.
