Frodsham Mayor Cllr Alan Oulton writes:
“We attended and supported an excellent event on Saturday night, 12th May. This was the Mersey Weaver Scouts Spring Ball, held at the Forest Hills Hotel.
Although a happy event we were slightly ‘sad’ as it was our last official engagement as Mayor and Mayoress. We hand over to Councillor Frank Pennington and his good lady in a week’s time.
The event was also attend by The Mayor and Mayoress of Halton.
The ball was held to raise money to send a group of Scouts to the World Scout Jamboree, to be held in West Virginia, USA, in 2019.
It was an excellent evening, very well organised, items in the auction were fantastic. Well done to all the organisations/companies, both local to the area and from elsewhere who donated prizes. Also well done to Kieran and his team from Forest Hills Hotel who ensured the evening ran so smoothly.
Finally sincere thanks to Mersey Weaver Scouts for their invite and hospitality on the night”
