Frodsham Mayor Cllr Liam Jones reports on Frodsham’s Silver Sunday celebrations.
What a day, it was none stop!
Today thanks to the power of volunteers we pulled off a wonderful free afternoon of tea, cake, sandwiches, packed with local entertainment at Kings Church in Frodsham, as part of the Silver Sunday – one of over 1100 events taking part across our great United Kingdom to help celebrate older people, but more importantly for us all, of all ages to get together and make new friends and connections, with lots of ideas being debated for future projects.
Frodsham Silver Sunday, was a first and a great success, thanks to help and support from Mersey Weaver Scouts for providing entertainment, feeding and watering us all. A big thank you to Kings Church for providing the venue and entertainment from the Morgan family, as well as Nuala for managing the entertainment and the fantastic performance from Frodsham Sings choir.
A special thank you to our sponsors:
Inovyn, Home Instead, District Taxis as well as M&S and Gleaves Garden Centre for their contributions.
