Frodsham Town Council has learned that new car parking management equipment has been installed at the privately-owned Eddisbury Square.
The car park will have a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, which allows customers free parking for two hours. If customers need to stay longer then there is an option for additional time to be purchased via RingGo (a mobile phone-based cashless system). The tariff will be:
- Additional hour – 50p
- Additional 2 hours – £1.00
- Additional 3 hours – £1.50
Overstaying without purchasing extra time will may make drivers liable for a PCN (Parking Charge Notice). The PCN fee will be £100 with a reduced rate of £60 if paid within 14 days.
An appeals system has been set up and will be advertised on signs throughout the car park. The car parking and appeals will be handled by Smart Parking Ltd.
