We plan to close the A533 Expressway, between Preston Brook and Murdishaw roundabout for two days on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February. This is so that communication lines across the new bridge can be connected to the existing network.
This work will require a full closure in both directions, between 8am and 4pm. The road will be open overnight on these dates.
Access via the bridge will be retained for walkers and cyclists, who will be assisted through the closures and diversion routes will be fully signposted for drivers, making use of the local A558 and A533 roads.
We are continuing to work closely with our key stakeholders to ensure they are informed about these closures. These include Halton Borough Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
