On Tuesday Waterside Councillor Mallie Poulton attended the second of 11 University of Chester graduation ceremonies in Chester Cathedral.
As the guest of Vice Chancellor Professor Tim Wheeler, Cllr Poulton saw science and engineering students, including some from Frodsham, receive their degree certificates in the presence of University Chancellor Gyles Brandreth.
They were joined by Lord David Willetts who received an honorary Doctor of Letters for his outstanding contribution to higher education in his role as former Minister of State for Universities and Science.
Cllr Poulton will return to the beautiful surroundings of Chester Cathedral on Friday afternoon for the last of the week’s graduation ceremonies.
