Frodsham Community Association, which operates and manages the Community Centre in Fluin Lane, will be electing new officers at its AGM in June and is asking Frodsham people to consider taking a more active role in supporting the Centre and getting involved in the Management Committee.
The Community Centre is home to around 50 regular groups who use it for a wide range of activities, from belly dancing to calligraphy. On average, between 500 and 1,000 people visit the Centre each week – more when it hosts larger audience events.
The Community Centre was opened in 1969 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. This is an amazing achievement and Frodsham is very lucky to have such a fantastic facility at the heart of the town. Its success is due to the efforts of many Frodsham people over the years, but it will only continue to prosper if local people use it and continue to put in the hard work behind the scenes to fund-raise and manage the Centre.
So, please ask yourself if you can get involved – pop in or telephone the Community Centre on 01928 732222 if you want to know more about what’s involved.
