“I recently accompanied our Town Clerk Hazel Catt to the regional conference of the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC).
The conference was held at Bolton Wanderers Stadium. The SLCC extend invitations to councillors to attend.
It was very full day, with speakers covering a diverse range of subjects. I particularly enjoyed the presentation of a project where social media and email was used to allow a community’s more senior residents to become more involved. It also gave me an insight into how varied and complex the role of a Town Clerk can be.
I would like to thank Hazel and the SLCC for the invite.”
