Poppy presentation

Frodsham’s World War 1 Working Group presented Frodsham Town Council with a display box containing poppies from Frodsham’s Poppy Cascade that commemorated the centenary of the Great War.

Pupils from Frodsham’s four primary school made the poppies that were then assembled by members of the WW1 Working Group and other volunteers. The cascade was displayed at Frodsham Health Centre to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of the Somme in 2016, at Frodsham Community Centre for the centenary of Passchendale in 2017 and at Castle Park Arts Centre to mark the end of World War 1 in 2018.
