- Increase in UK National Threat Level
To note the following information received from Cheshire West & Chester Council:
As some may be aware, following recent incidents across the UK, the National Threat Level has been increased from SUBSTANTIAL, meaning an attack is likely, to SEVERE meaning an attack is highly likely. While there is currently no intelligence to suggest any threat or risk to West Cheshire, this is a reminder to those organising events to be vigilant and ensure all staff and volunteers know what to do if they see suspicious activity or in the event of an incident. We would ask that you firstly visit Protect UK to Review your protective security plans in response to the increase in the national threat level | ProtectUK and take some time to familiarise yourself with the information and guidance presented.

a) To note that the TEN Licence for this event has now been approved and received.
b) To note that Cheshire West & Chester Events Team have requested an amendment be made to the Risk Assessment. This has been actioned by Lisa Cowley of Independent Street Events Ltd, and has been forwarded to Cheshire West & Chester Events Team for their approval.
c) To note the planning schedule progress update for the event to date.

11. Frodsham Downhill Run 2027
To receive an update following the meeting between Cllrs Wade, Woods and Lofts and the Secretary of Frodsham Community Association regarding the potential resurrection of the Downhill Run and possible links with FTC events in Castle Park.
12. Wassail Event 2027
To note that a meeting is in the process of being arranged with Jon Curry to discuss his plans for the event.
